About the Swedish Neuroscience Institute

The Swedish Neuroscience Institute (SNI), located at Swedish Cherry Hill, began in 2004 as a vision to address a growing need for comprehensive neuroscience services in the Pacific Northwest. SNI has become a premier institute, offering an extraordinary combination of world-class medical expertise, advanced technologies, state-of-the-art facilities and leading-edge clinical research.
SNI comprises an impressive array of resources focused on one goal – to provide the best care for patients with brain, spine and central nervous system disorders.
Using telemedicine to expand access to care
Through several TeleHealth programs, including TeleICU, TeleEEG and Telestroke, Swedish uses computer telemedicine technology to link SNI expertise to clinics, hospitals and emergency departments in numerous Washington communities.
Research and training
Through clinical trials, our staff evaluates new drugs and medical devices, and is able to provide patients therapeutic options that would otherwise be unavailable to them.
SNI also is helping educate the next generation of neurosurgery subspecialists by offering advanced training in multiple fellowships, such as epilepsy and skull-base surgery.
Expanded care in North Puget Sound region
SNI and Providence Regional Medical Center Everett have joined forces to deliver the highest level of cranial and spine care in northwest Washington. This collaboration offers enhanced access to care through the resources and expertise of integrated medical and surgical teams. Patients in the North Puget Sound region can now benefit from a wider range of neurosciences and spine specialists, and the technologies and cutting-edge clinical research at SNI, close to home.
