Whether you have been diagnosed or are recovering from a heart condition, or just ready to adopt a healthier lifestyle, these classes and resources have been designed to improve your cardiovascular health.

10 weeks – $250*
Hosted by a registered dietitian, classes are designed to promote plant-based eating patterns focusing on the Mediterranean diet. Participants will learn to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, whole-grains, beans, nuts and seeds into their meals. Enjoy cooking demonstrations, sample new foods and take home delicious and nutritious recipe ideas.
The class meets for 10 weeks on Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon.
An introduction to mindfulness for stress reduction
10 weeks – $150*
Mindfulness meditation and the application of mindfulness to daily life can help reduce stress. Hosted by Carolyn McManus, MPT, this 10-week series of classes covers mindfulness meditation, gentle yoga and a range of self-care strategies to manage stress, difficult emotions and physical symptoms.
The class meets for 10 weeks on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to noon.
*Register for both nutrition and mindfulness classes for a discounted rate of $375.
Get Moving exercise consultation
The purpose of the exercise consultation is to evaluate an individual’s cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and general strength with the intention of building an exercise prescription to address deficiencies found during the assessment and/or update an existing exercise program. This visit includes medically supervised exercise with EKG monitoring and blood pressure checks. Results will be written up and reviewed with the participant.
