Current Research

A Continued Access Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness and Safety of Exablate Transcranial MRgFUS Thalamotomy Treatment of Medication Refractory Essential Tremor Subjects
Goal: To evaluate the ongoing safety and efficacy of treatment using the ExAblate Transcranial System in medication-refractory tremor in patients with essential tremor.

EMG and Inertial Measurements of Essential Tremor
Goal: To obtain inertial measurements from post-operative ET patients with the device off and on at two levels of stimulator. This will allow the creation of an accurate pre- and post-operative assessment tool for tremor using a wearable device so we can better identify the most likely patients to respond to DBS treatment. 

DBS Surgery Using a Mobile Intraoperative CT Scan
Goal: To assess the accuracy of the Airo (Brain Lab) intra-operative CT compared that of a fixed CT (SIEMENS) for patients undergoing DBS procedures.

RNS System Post-approval Study in Epilepsy
Goal: To follow patients prospectively over five years in the real-world environment to gather data on the long-term safety and effectiveness of the RNS System at qualified CECs by qualified neurologists, epileptologists and neurosurgeons trained on the RNS System.

A Global Registry to Evaluate Long-Term Effectiveness of Neurostimulation Therapy for Pain
Goal: To compile characteristics of real-world clinical outcomes, economic value and technical performance for Boston Scientific commercially approved neurostimulation systems for pain in routine clinical practice, when used according to the applicable directions for use.

A Pivotal Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness and Safety of ExAblate Transcranial MRgFUS Thalamotomy Treatment of Medication Refractory Essential Tremor Subjects

A Feasibility Study to Evaluate Safety and Initial Effectiveness of Exablate Transcranial MR-Guided Focused Ultrasound for Unilateral Thalamotomy in the treatment of Medication-Refractory Tremor Dominant Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease.
Goal: To test the safety and initial efficacy of treatment using the ExAblate Transcranial System against a sham control in medication-refractory tremor in patients with tremor dominant Parkinson’s disease.
