I am a complex patient, Dr. Chang has been my pain specialist for the past eight years. This has included six major spine surgeries and a month-long admission in the ICU for an ecoli infection.Dr. Chang has obviously read my chart before my appointment. Consequently he is always current with my medical history.As well as being up to the task intelligently, he is empathetic and a good listener.I feel very fortunate to have him as a member of my medical team!

Response to issues very good

Dr Chang's demeanor & knowledge gives me confidence for a positive outcome for my goals. I'm glad he will be doing the injection.

It was a good experience. I felt I still had questions about the block nerve shot after he left.

I had to wait a little longer for Dr. Chang but that is because he spends time with all his patients that need extra help. He's done it with me so I understand if I have to wait. His receptionist was very polite.

Dr. Chang explained the MRI of my cervical spine and helped me understand why I'm experiencing pain in the areas of concern. He has a positive attitude in regard to what can be done to help relieve that pain and get back to the activities I enjoy. That positive attitude lifted my spirits and gives me hope!

So far I am very happy.

Dr Chang has taken good care of me. I had 2 nerve blocks on my thoracic back and then the ablation. It took very well. It is so nice not to have the continuous pain that I was having. I am hopeful that this lasts for many years. My husband will be having an ablation done by him in 2 weeks also. We are very hopeful that he has good results also

Excellent doctor

This was my first visit with Dr. Chang and his resident, whose name I don't remember. They are specialists I am consulting for a long-time hip problem. They were willing to hear about my needle phobia and work with me to mitigate my fears, so I felt I was being treated as a whole person and not just "the hip problem in room 3". They also squeezed my injection into that day's schedule so I wouldn't have to take another day off work and drive back up from Olympia. Again, I felt like I was being treated as a person and not just a medical problem. I'm impressed and appreciative. Will return to him as needed and gladly recommend him to others.Also, one of the office staff very kindly helped me with the parking app, which wasn't working on my phone.

Always took an interest in my wellbeing and future association regarding my specific circumstance. I could not be more pleased with the care, concern and direction that I've been shown by Dr. Chang and his staff.

I appreciate the time that the doctor spent on reviewing my history and my chart to provide me with answers and options.

Dr. Wilson Chang is an excellent provider. When dealing with him I am extremely satisfied. Problems have occurred with communication between nursing team in the past, both in scheduling and conveying questions or messages. Truthfully, I probably would have switched from this clinic because of the frustration endured here, had Dr. Chang's care and friendliness not been so outstanding. On that note, I will say that there were no problems with scheduling for this last appointment. I used MyChart and that went smoothly.

Dr.Chang continues to go above and beyond. It is difficult to get in to see him right away if you are having an issue because he is very busy (sometimes scheduling more than a month out for an appointment), but he accommodated me when he found out I was having a surgery, and squeezed me into his already full schedule the same week of surgery. He has also previously stayed late after 5pm to inject my knee/leg when the pain was so severe I could barely walk. Dr.Chang has been the difference in me being at home on bed rest doing nothing due to severe pain, to controlling my pain so I can travel, work, and lead a normal life.

I was at ease with the physician and team. He had a fellow working with him who knew the procedure well. At a difficult point of advancing the needle there was some difficulty due to bone spur. He took his time to work around the spur to get needle (or tube) to targeting area. Great job. Did not experience any pain post procedure. Great discharge instructions.

Dr Chang is at Swedish Issaquah only on Thursdays It is very hard to get appointments with him. Regardless of the need of the patient.

Having residents in a learning situation prolong d the procedure. Nonetheless, the care was excellent

This visit was a phone chat (so no office personnel were Involved) ; but it was very satisfying. Dr. Chang took plenty of time to discuss problems and solutions relevant to my back pain issues. My only real complaint with the practice is the same complaint I have with all specialty clinics-the impossibility of getting an appointment within any reasonable time frame.

Dr Chang was very thorough, very informative, very kind, explained all, and said the next procedure he recommended of an ablation of spine won't be that painful as I fear. This was my first time ever seeing him for back pain and my prescription.

Video visits are AWESOME! Not having to take half a day to get my disabled body 35 miles away for a 10 minute visit is wonderful. It would be even better to schedule the next visit during this same time instead of spending 10-15 minutes wait time on the appointment line during a separate call. Perhaps a way to book follow up online? In whole, I'm delighted with Dr Chang and happy about video visits.

He asked excellent questions to determine the best course of treatment for me and explained what that was and why he was recommending it, along with possible alternatives. I am extremely grateful that he believes me and has a treatment plan to help me feel better! He knew about my medical history before meeting me. He isn't trying just one thing he trying multiple things to help me. He is willing to work with my primary, pharmacy and pain clinic that is in a rural town I live in. He explained up front he is a temporary doctor to help me and then my primary will take over my continued treatment plan. I am so thankful!!!

Dr, Chang listened to my experience and reviewed my scans more closely identifying the culprit of my severe pain that had been missed and dismissed by the previous Swedish nuerosurgeons who reviewed my case despite consistent push from my other doctors that the pain was not related to my other health conditions.

Doctor was very kind and positive. He was willing to listen to what I have to say and paid close attention to what I have said. The information for the treatment was clear and easy to understand. Also he was very approachable and it made it easy for me to discuss without contemplating.
