About Michaela L. Tsai
Dr. Michaela Tsai is a board certified medical oncologist and hematologist who has been caring for patients with cancer and blood disorders for nearly 20 years. At Duke University, Dr. Tsai studied chemistry and religion. During her medical training at Harvard, she discovered that the field of oncology allowed her to stay actively engaged in both areas. The health and well-being of her patients is her primary concern. She believes in the essential balance between the intellectual and the emotional, the scientific and the spiritual, and incorporates these elements into her daily practice and the care of her patients.

I enjoy speaking to Dr. Tsai. She seems to remember everything I've said in the last four months. She Addresses any concerns politely and in a way that I can understand without being dismissive or disrespectful. My only bad experience isn't with Dr. Tsai directly, but with the wait time for medications at the infusion center. I waited nearly an hour for the drugs to arrive, making my anxiety increase.

Excellent care and Swedish generally coordinates well among specialists. My only reservation about Swedish, frankly, is that as part of Providence it now has unacceptable restrictions on reproductive & end-of-life care.
