Mobile Mammography

It’s never been easier to get your mammogram. The Swedish mobile mammography coach will be at various sites throughout the year to perform screening mammograms for women over 40 years old who are not experiencing any new breast symptoms.

The mammography coach is only accessible by stairs. Patients should be able to walk up and down stairs easily and remain standing during their appointment. Please read the FAQs about the Swedish mammography coach before deciding if an appointment on the mammography coach is right for you.

The Swedish mobile breast care services will be on site at various Swedish primary-care clinics throughout the year to perform breast cancer screenings. Each clinic manages their own schedule; please call the clinics directly to schedule your appointment.

The mammography coach may be booked to provide exams at your work place for employees or their spouses.

Women over the age of 40 who have not had a mammogram in the past year may receive their annual screening mammogram on the coach.

No referral is needed for women over the age of 40 who have not had a mammogram in the past year (365 days). Women aged 35-39, will need a referral for a screening mammogram from their provider.

  • Mother, sister or daughter have been diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer in their 40’s or younger
  • Testing positive to BRCA1/BRCA2
  • Treated with chest radiation for Hodgkin’s disease

High risk patients do not need a referral.

We can accommodate patients with breast implants. Please notify staff when you make your appointment so we may adjust for timing.

If you are experiencing breast pain, nipple discharge, lumps or are recently diagnosed with breast cancer, please speak with your primary care provider to discuss further recommendations, testing or referrals.

If your last mammogram results needed additional imaging, you should be seen at a breast center.

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should be seen at a breast center.

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs or walkers. The only way inside the coach is via stairs. All patients should be able to easily walk up stairs and remain standing during their exam. Should you require additional assistance or an ADA facility, please visit one of our Swedish Breast Center locations.
