Dr. Schwartz is an awesome surgeon. Short of using BandAids, I don't know much about the medical side of things but I DO know my shoulders hurt worse BEFORE my surgeries and my recovery and progress in physical therapy are doing great. In my layman's perspective, he did an awesome job.Dr. Schwartz is a busy man but he took the time to address any questions I had and he explained everything in a way I could understand.

There was some confusion in scheduling my surgery. Originally at First Hill, which was out of network with my insurance for some reason. I only discovered this by being contacted by First Hill directly a couple of days before my surgery. Treatment at First Hill would have been much more expensive to me personally. The situation was rectified, but it did shake my confidence in Swedish as an organization. Contrary to my initial extremely positive impression. It all worked out to move my surgery to the Ortho building. Though I wondered if I was getting the B team since I was not booked there originally. In any case, I was impressed with the care and follow up. Especially the post-op meeting with Dr Schwartz - very well-handled. Both spouse and I were extremely impressed.

A friend recommended I see Dr. Swartz for my shoulder Injury. I had already received a surgical recommendation from a different dr so scheduled a 2nd opinion consultation with Dr. Swartz. I am so happy I did. He and his staff were so much more caring and informative than the previous dr. He showed empathy for my concerns and desire to return to my favorite activities. He thoroughly explained the damage in my shoulder so I fully understood the surgical need to correct it. Plus, I was able to get a surgery date in a couple weeks vs 2 months with the other dr. I can't say enough good about my experience to date. Hopefully I'll feel the same way after surgery!

I love this orthopedic group! I usually arrive early for my appointment and often times I'm seen earlier than my scheduled time and out the door before if. The medical assistant to Dr. Swartz is professional and friendly and remembers me when I come in. Dr. Swartz is a wonderful surgeon and repaired my shoulder. It's been a long recovery but he stands behind me the entire way-ready to see me when I have concerns and/or setbacks.
