About James W. Pritchett
I've dedicated my career to improving quality of life through reconstructive surgery by searching for solutions for bone and joint problems through research. I've also pioneered minimally-invasive surgical techniques. I'm the most experienced surgeon in the Northwest in Joint Resurfacing Procedures. I performed the first robotically assisted hip replacement and have the most experience with outpatient joint implant surgery in our area. I offer metal free alternatives to hip joint implant surgery. We offer joint implants capable of adventure sports. Dr. Pritchett has also been selected as a, "Top Doctor" by Seattle Met Magazine.

My interests includes research. I have contributed to 60 scientific publications during the last 15 years. We have developed joint replacement surfaces that have minimal wear and that are expected to last the lifetime of the patient.

I've been seeing Dr. Pritchett occasionally since 2011 when he performed my 1st (R) hip resurfacing that now needs to be replaced due to implant failure. I had the L hip resurfaced in 2022, and have seen Dr. P. For a few checkups or virtual appointments in between. He is always helpful, friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I'm grateful to get attention for the current hip problem quickly and that I can send images from my home town in Alaska for his review. I'm also very grateful that this could be done virtually since it is challenging to travel from rural Alaska to Seattle. Unfortunately, the upcoming surgery can't be done virtually, LOL!
