After being hospitalized for over two weeks, Dr. Cai was very respectful and helpful to myself and whatever family member I had with me in explaining next steps and how things were going. I was very impressed with his knowledge and patience as the entire situation was above my head. He made me feel very comfortable, seen, heard, and explained in great detail each step to the process of being in the hospital and what steps I needed to take to be discharged.

I needed an EKG for a pre-admit for surgery, My normal physician was totally booked, so I was referred to Dr. Cai. Everyone was prompt, efficient, and professional.

Dr. Cai listened to me and responded with good bedside manner, but I felt his responses were a bit by the book or academic and not very relatable or personal. I had questions about my recent colonoscopy and he just recited the findings from the report and didn't really offer guidance that was practical for my lifestyle or even ask about dietary lifestyle or talk about what was typical versus abnormal. I also had questions/concerns about thyroid health and we were doing blood work anyway, but he just recited typical symptoms of weak thyroid function and did not honor my request to check thyroid levels. I left feeling that I hadn't really connected or forged rapport with my new GP, again, the visit felt very academic.

I saw Dr. Cai about refilling a prescription and about a newer issue that has been making it difficult to sleep and perform delicate tasks with my hands due to tremors in my arms and fingers. Dr. Cai's suggestion was to reduce a couple of medications that I have been on for many years, well before this new concern began. Dr. Cai seemed as though he couldn't get through my appointment quickly enough and was not at all concerned about my tremors.
