Cancer, Sex, and Intimacy – online webinar

Sex and intimacy are important parts of everyday life and a common concern and problem for many patients during and after treatment. Gentle Yoga and Wellness Skills 

Mind-body educator, Sharon, teaches students to develop good breathing patterns, integrated with balanced, healthy posture and a peaceful state of mind. This gentle introductory class is appropriate for all mobility levels and those who are new to yoga. Get Fit! Staying Active During and After Cancer Treatment

Hawaiian Hula 

E komo mai - Welcome! Harmony Hill Cancer Wellness Program

Join us for an ongoing monthly learning series to explore what it means to live with cancer and heal as a survivor. Each month skilled facilitators share new tools and resources to increase personal resilience and wellbeing through interactive group discussions, journaling, expressive arts and much more. Developed by Harmony Hill as a 10-month wellness program for cancer patients, survivors and companions, participants will benefit the most by attending the full series, though drop-ins are welcome as space allows. Come find meaning, support and connection with others on the cancer journey.

Mindfulness Meditation at the Frye Art Museum 

These weekly drop-in sessions, held Wednesdays from 12:30-1:00 pm, are open to all who are interested in learning how to live with more present moment awareness. This is an opportunity for those who are brand new to meditation, as well as for those who have previous experience.

PCC: Walk, Talk, and Taste Tour: Foods that Help Prevent the "Big C"

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction - 8 Week Series

Mindfulness based stress reduction offers you instruction in mindfulness meditation, gentle yoga and a range of strategies to manage stress and physical symptoms.  This eight week class is designed to complement your medical care or help you manage the day to day stresses of life.

Pain and Beyond

This class teaches coping techniques for people with pain-limiting conditions. Topics include an overview of the anatomy and physiology of pain, stress management, pacing, goal setting and logging, home therapies, nutrition and supplements, and hope, happiness and healing. Preoperative Joint Seminar (scheduled surgery)

This one-hour seminar will inform you about what to expect before surgery, during your hospital stay and for the first several weeks after surgery. This class will include recommendations on how to prepare your home for a comfortable recovery. This class is strongly recommended for patients scheduled to have a joint replacement surgery at Swedish Edmonds, Swedish Issaquah or the Swedish Orthopedic Institute (Downtown Seattle).

Growing Up: All About Puberty

This class provides a perfect opportunity to build a bridge with your 9- to 12-year-old to demystify the challenges of puberty. The focus of this fun, interactive class is to open and enhance communication between parents and preteens and explain the physical and emotional changes ahead. Taught in partnership with Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest.

This course is designed to provide healthcare providers working in and out of a wide variety of hospital settings the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  Participant certifications are valid for two years.
