In both urban and rural areas of Washington, there are significant challenges for patients to receive specialized care. The Swedish TeleHealth Program makes it possible for adults and children to benefit from the knowledge and experience of Swedish specialists – no matter where they live.

Swedish’s telemedicine technology uses secure video connections, high-definition imaging and other sophisticated tools to allow specialists to diagnose and propose treatment options for patients who are not sitting in the same exam room, hospital room or emergency department as the Swedish physician.

At Swedish, we continue to expand our telehealth program to meet the needs of communities we serve.

  • Assures patients access to care when they need it and when time is critical for diagnosing and treating serious conditions
  • Allows specialist physicians to practice more efficiently while supporting communities that don’t have specialty care available locally
  • Reduces the amount of travel for both physicians and patients

Advancements in medical technology and online security has allowed Swedish to expand access to care through telehealth for the following specialties:

  • EEG
  • Gastroenterology
  • Intensive care
  • Interpreter services
  • Movement disorders
  • Neurology
  • Neurosurgery
  • Sleep
  • Spine
  • Stroke

Swedish is pleased to offer TeleHealth services to network hospitals and medical practices in Washington. The following resources for contracted hospitals will help us provide you and your patients with the very best, high-quality service in a timely manner.

Documentation for an Electronic Medical Record

To ensure we have accurate patient information available prior to providing telehealth services, please download, complete and fax the required documents as indicated in the appropriate form. We will use this form to establish an electronic medical record for the patient.

A strong partnership between Swedish and its network hospitals is the key to the success of its TeleHealth programs. Multiple hospitals and individual physicians have made a commitment to their communities to improve access to much needed, but scarce, specialty care.
