Symptoms and conditions
If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms or conditions, call our nurse navigator or contact your physician to learn more about treatment options.
- Fecal incontinence
- Pain in rectum
- Incomplete bowel movements
- Pressure in rectum
- Bowel frequency
- Pain during bowel movements
Our treatments range from medication therapy to surgery. Our nonsurgical methods include injecting bulking agents into the anal sphincter as well as physical therapy with biofeedback. This type of physical therapy, known as InterStim neurostimulator, stimulates your sacral nerves to control bowel and rectum muscles so they work normally.
We also provide surgical sphincter repair. And soon we’ll add a treatment known as the Fenix® Continence Restoration System. This small, flexible band of interlinked magnetic titanium beads wraps around the internal anal sphincter. When under pressure, the band relaxes and allows flow through the rectum, then closes again to prevent accidents.
