Brow Lift

Men and women choose a brow lift to look more refreshed and youthful.  A sagging brow or cheeks can be a dramatic and very visible sign of aging. A heavy or sagging forehead can indirectly affect your expressions, making you look perpetually tired or stern. 

A brow lift offers several improvements, including raising a naturally heavy brow line or one that has sagged over time, smoothing horizontal forehead lines and vertical creases between the eyebrows, opening up the eye area and lifting heavy upper eyelids and the outer portions of the eyebrows.

While the benefits of a brow lift can be impressive, a combination of procedures may be required to rejuvenate the entire face. Many women and men complete their facial renewal by combining their brow lift with a face or neck lift and or eyelid surgery. Injectable fillers and Botox are also a safe, effective and minimally invasive alternative to facial cosmetic surgery. They give reasonably good results with short recovery time and few after effects.

Eye-lid (Blepharoplasty)

Eyelid surgery can bring back an energetic, vibrant appearance.  For some people, droopy, baggy eyelids run in the family. For the rest of us, the delicate skin around our eyes loses its youthful qualities over time. As the years pass, upper lids sag lower and lower, even obscuring vision for some people. Lower lids lose their elasticity and allow fat bulges and dark shadows to become more prominent. 

Our surgeons feel that the skin around the eyes deserves gentle, careful treatment. "With eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, less is more.” Upper lid surgery usually removes unneeded skin and fat through an incision designed to follow a natural skin crease. The incision may extend into a crow’s foot or laugh line at the side of the eyelid.  The lower eyelid may be approached either through an incision that is just beneath the lash line or from the inside of the lid. The inside approach leaves no visible scar. This works best in younger patients who do not need excess skin removed.

A blepharoplasty can be done alone or at the same time as a brow lift or face lift. The results of eyelid surgery can be much better if a brow lift is done at the same time to help reposition tissues where they belong anatomically. Other non-surgical procedure for patients with deepening folds and wrinkles to consider is an injectable filler or BOTOX®. Facelift

Women and men choose facelift surgery for rejuvenation of the lower two-thirds of the face. Aging subjects the face to the forces of gravity, sun exposure and stress. Skin stretches; areas of fullness lose volume or drop in positioning. Creases form from the nose to the mouth and jowls accumulate, obscuring the jaw line. 

A facelift combines smoothing folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, lifting drooping or sunken cheeks, and erasing a "jowly" look to define the jawline. Using incisions hidden within the hairline several layers of facial muscle and tissue are lifted and tightened and secured. The overlying skin is redraped, instead of stretching it, to ensure natural-looking results.

The facelift focuses on the lower two-thirds of the face, so it will smooth away folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. It does not significantly address horizontal forehead lines or wrinkles around the eyes such as crow's feet. Those concerns are best addressed with an injectable treatment such as BOTOX® Cosmetic or a surgical procedure such as an eyelid surgery or a brow lift. 

Wrinkled skin under the eyes can be rejuvenated with a chemical peel that addresses the skin's needs at the cellular level.
