What Makes Swedish Family Medicine - Ballard Unique?
As part of Swedish Medical Center, Swedish Ballard is a Residency Clinic. Six to eight of our providers are resident MDs/DOs who are specializing in family medicine/primary care. These providers rotate out every three years and are overseen by our four faculty providers.
Following the medical home model allows your personal provider at Swedish Family Medicine - Ballard to have fewer patients in his or her practice than traditional primary-care doctors. This means that you will have 30-60 minutes with your provider to address your concerns in a comprehensive manner. When an urgent medical need arises, you can conveniently get a same-day or next-day appointment.
During clinic hours, a staff member will answer the phone promptly. Through MyChart, you can discuss your medical care directly with your health care team and receive a timely response (within 3 business days). After hours, you can call the clinic and be directed to an on-call provider for urgent issues.
