Allergy and Immunology

The Swedish allergy and immunology team provides diagnosis and treatment for adults, teens and children with immune and allergy disorders. We treat all types of allergies in adults and children with avoidance measures, medicine and immunotherapy. Our specialties include food allergies, seasonal allergies, asthma care, pediatric asthma and atopic dermatitis.

Allergy Testing

Allergy testing, also known as skin, prick or blood testing, is a method for determining to what substances a person is allergic. Skin allergy testing is the most common, reliable and relatively painless form of allergy testing.

Immunotherapy

When allergen avoidance and medications do not control your allergy symptoms, your physician may recommend immunotherapy for environmental allergies. Immunotherapy builds up blocking antibodies by repeated exposure to allergens. Through shots or sublingual tablets, your doctor can reduce your body's response to the allergen, or eliminate symptoms altogether. This in turn can eliminate the need for medication and future treatment.
