Good: Dr Mullen provides thorough, expert care. He keeps us focused during the encounter, but I never feel rushed and I get thorough answers to my questions. It's easy to trust him.Not so good: On multiple tries, I could not schedule this yearly follow-up visit via MyChart, which I prefer. Ultimately had to make a phone call to scheduler, and by that time appointments were six months out. The gripe here is about the scheduling process and not about Dr Mullen.

Dr. Mullen was new to me when we had our first appointment but he wasn't by the time we finished it. He made me feel more comfortable with what is ahead for me because he is part of my team. He, with his team, immediately advised that they were taking over the management of my neprostimey gear - which was a relief to me. And I was right to feel that relief. The support they have provided since has been quick and complete. It is notable that excellent quality has been my consistent experience with Swedish - across all types of care I've needed and levels of caregivers who have helped me during those times of need.

Dr Mullen is the best oncologist, very respected by other doctors. I felt as though I had the best oncologist in Seattle.

I was referred to this office and physician from another Dr in Seattle. I was pleased with the information that he provided and took the time to explain everything to me. He spoke a little quick for me not knowing exactly what he was talking about, but when I asked for more detail, he was kind and explained everything to me.

Dr Mullen is a wonderful caring person. He listens to all my concerns and explains the issues clearly so I can understand. He loves his profession and specializes in bladder/ urology problems and surgery. He removed Cancer from my bladder 5 years ago and follows up routinely with exams. He really cares about my health and my family. I appreciate all he has done for me. Sure there were times I had to wait to see him or drive out of my way to see him but that's what you do If you want the best.

He explained why my wait time was longer than usual because he was seeing another patient who had a difficult diagnosis. Very knowledgeable and very interested in learning as well as teaching. Could not schedule next visit because his appointment calendar was "not available yet." That is a concern only because appts must generally be scheduled months in advance.

Dr Mullen was delayed some due to a surgery that required additional time to avoid the patient from having an additional surgery. I was totally fine with his decision to save the patient from another surgery event and have me wait a bit longer. I totally respect him for making the best logical decision for that procedure.
