I have been very satisfied being in the care of Dr. Parker. He listens, tries to understand all the issues and how they are related, make notes, empathizes, and comes up with plans that may be best for my treatment. My only issue is that I booked my appointment months ago and I could only get the August appointment which was via telecommunications, which I'm ok with, but there weren't any physical appointments. I was in the hospital for three days and needed to see him much sooner. Thankfully I was able to seen by another physician. Other than scheduling, my experience has been really good. It's a wonderful feeling to have a doctor who actually listens to me. I wish he was my General Practitioner. That would solve ALL my issues!

We need more specialists. It is very frustrating to try and schedule with pretty much any specialty physician at Swedish, pulmonary and rheumatology are particularly awful. You have outstanding providers who are squeezed too tight on time. I had to wait 3 months for an appointment, and I'm a returning patient.

Dr Nathan Parker is one of the most excellent (intelligence-wise, knowledge of his specialty) that I've had. He is a great representation of what Swedish wants in their physicians, since he has the ability to fully review my RX's, any medical changes, he verifies on the computer in front of me (just to be sure) with most since I'm on an MAOI. Dr Parker doesn't use "medical jargon". I don't think the famous person who died recently from a sinus infection leading to pnuemonia, would have died, if he'd had Dr Parker as his Pulmonologist. Dr Parker doesn't preescribe chest Xrays when unnecessary, yet when there is a history of lung nodes, cancer, and I haven't responded to antibiotics, he orders one when it's medically necessary. Most important, Dr Parker has integrity and is a kind human being. He is nice to his family, which does make a difference to me, when I select a physician. It is a reflection of their moral code. Dr Parker is also wonderful and keeping my PCP in the loop, and helps so much, in allowing Dr Thomson to transfer my Pulmonary care, focusing on my diabetes and other health issues.
