We had to wait for 1 hour to see MD but excellent experience when we did

Dr. Jens Chapman and his team are the most professional and knowledgeable Neurosurgeon and team. He is really thorough and understood all my concerns. Highly recommend him and his team.

X-rays took longer than expected so our appointment was shifted 30 min later so MD could see another patient in a timely way. This was explained and ok with us. We are very impressed with Dr Chapman and his team and with SNI and Swedish.

Dr. Chapman is an excellent doctor that helped me walk upright again and not use a wheelchair anymore. Couldn't ask for a better doctor!!!

The extent to which Dr. Chapman had in preparation for my appointment was good. I felt he had a thorough knowledge of my medical condition and addressed it a comprehensive manor by referring me to the damaged Spinal Cord Clinic. I had consulted with 6 other MD, and they appeared to have inadequate knowledge of my neurological issues/problem(s).

Everyone has been very helpful and supportive of my needs and I am grateful for the support that I received from the team of doctors and nurses and all the staff at Swedish.

I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Chapman as my surgeon. He is talented, patient, and genuinely interested in my health and well being.

Dr Chapman was excellent in every way. It was the first time I had seen him. Three prior doctors told me that my symptoms were "confusing" and they had no good plan to investigate further or to help relieve my discomfort. Dr Chapman listened to my symptoms, performed a detailed exam and reviewed the prior imaging studies. He zeroed in on a diagnosis that made perfect sense. (It Is what I had suspected all along.) He ordered a specialized imaging study to clarify things. He then took the time to explain a home exercise regimen and referred me to physical therapy. I wish I had seen him earlier as it has been a long road with the other providers. I have great confidence in Dr Chapman going forward. His intelligence and careful consideration of every detail makes him one in a million.

Dr. Chapman explained very clearly to me that my spinal stenosis is related to fat deposits in my spine. By losing weight I could eliminate the fat deposits and thereby rid myself of the problem. He was very persuasive. I am in day eight of my weight loss program feeling a bit better already. I remain hopeful and positive about changing my lifestyle due to the way he convinced me that it's my responsibility. I'm grateful to him for that. He was not at all preachy in his delivery. When I asked about the process he used, I got a clear description of the mechanics involved.As a machinist and craftsman myself I have the greatest respect for that. Dr. Chapman appears very well versed and exceptional in his knowledge in his field. However, his soft skills are rough and made me feel very rushed and anxious. I absolutely understand being direct, but sometimes some health concerns aren't clear black and white as mine is very grey with changes over time with symptoms. He seemed to want yes or no answers but with my condition, that isn't the case, unfortunately. Otherwise, I definitely respect his experience and knowledge.

My 3mo. Visit was very helpful. I not only learned that my surgical implant of Coflex was in correct position but that it was Operating correctly. I was also given instructions and advice to keep my back in good shape for future. Also ideas for improving balance so as to avoid falls!

My last visit was fantastic !!!

Dr. Chapman's team specifically is the best! But the protocol that seems to have now been put into place is not good at all. This is not Dr. Chapman's fault, once I finally was able to get to him (after a year of pain and suffering) everything, as always, was great! He is the best!

Dr Chapman is articulate and very knowledgeable. I would trust him in both his diagnosis and abilities. Surgery on one's back is long and delicate. I'm confident that Dr Chapman has both the patience and knowledge to perform the task on my back. The only problem is, is do I want to go thru the surgery and recovery at 87 years old.

After understandable 2 hour delay, because Dr Chapman was in a surgical case that ran long, he was just great, even while giving me some tough news.And while he was in surgery, his Associate gave me information that I hadn't had, prepared me for the news to come. Both Dr Chapman, his Associate, & all the staff we ran into, were courteous & professional.

Dr Chapman is an excellent doctor. I would highly recommend him to family and friends. He communicates in easily understood terms. He listens to what I have to say. He explains what the X-rays show and how he expects resolution will occur for my problem. Dr Chapman has performed several successful surgeries on me.

Dr. Chapman was very well informed about my need for surgery. He provided and overview of my condition and had a specific plan for my surgery. He communicated in common language and.allowed me tome to ask questions. I felt seen and heard and apprieciate the professionalism shown to me.

Dr Chapman and the spine team have always been outstanding setting a high bar for all to follow. I marked down the scheduling portion to GOOD not because of staff but most likely available resources and volume. With life changing diagnosis it would be great if scheduling could be a bit sooner. Dr. Jens Chapman is in high demand. This is because he is exceptionally skilled. On the other side though, he must feel that everybody and their dog is tugging at his sleeve, putting an unending level of stress on him. There is a saying..."If you want to get something done, ask a busy man". But everyone has their limits when it comes to requests, pleas and even demands from orhers. Dr. Chapman is an unusually skilled surgeon and an outstanding example of what anyone entering medicine should aspire to. Having said that, I will risk to comment here that this doctor, this good man, has his admirable human appears to me anyhow... As being pulled too tightly in too many directions by too many other humans.
