Doctor Kim was very knowledgeable and helpful with my concerns and questions about my brain tumor. We went over my MRI scans and Doctor Kim pointed out and explained to me about my tumor. This is the second time I got a brain tumor, the 1st one was back in 1991 which I received surgery and had to the tumor removed. So, I had some knowledge about my tumor and I felt very confident about doctor Kim's opinions.

This was a 6-month follow up to a previous appointment. We looked at the MRI images of my brain, focusing primarily on the nugget of material between my skull and my brain. There seems to be no change in size and shape, so Dr Kim suggested a 12-month follow up. She could tell I was uncomfortable with that length of time (since we only have 2 data points right now), so we agreed to another 6 month follow up. It it still appears unchanged, we will go for a 12-month follow up after that. I appreciate that Dr Kim picked up on my apprehension, and quickly made the suggestion that she did. She did NOT try to talk me into a time frame that I was clearly uneasy with. Dr Kim has a good balance of both care and compassion; both traits are highly desirable in a medical professional.
