When I was referred to my provider I had to follow up actively even though I was told to wait for a call. When I called the scheduler knew nothing about why I was being referred- it seems my information was incomplete. She tracked down all the important information for me and then was able to help me set up the appointment- however it was months away. She told me I would be put on a list in case any cancellations occurred. I called each Monday to see if I could secure an early spot- because I called I was able to get a same day appointment. I was grateful that my scheduler was able to sort out and find missing data and not send me on a data chase. I was disappointed that the referral process didn't go smoothly and that it feels like what I was told wasn't really the way things worked- both with the list to slot in appointments and to receive a call about scheduling for the referral. I was super impressed with how helpful the receptionist was with getting notes to my care team the same day as my appointment- she photocopied things I had not had time to transfer electronically and then gave them to the team. I was incredibly impressed at the bedside manner, professionalism, and knowledge/skills of my provider. He took time to understand, ask questions, confirm understanding- both his and mine, and then explain what he theorized and how we would proceed, he then gave me options understanding my urgency- and providing options in case the timing didn't work for our family. I am SUPER impressed with Dr Kaiboriboon. Fantastic medical professional.
