My provider is excellent! She is very professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and caring. She listens carefully to all of my concerns, takes the time to answer all of my questions, and provides thoughtful and helpful recommendations. I always feel heard, respected, and well cared for. I truly appreciate the quality of care she provides and highly recommend her.

Took 5 months to obtain new patient appt with Dr Barkinbut she was worth waiting for!

Perceptive and professioal

Dr. Barkan alleviated fears about some misconceptions I had about my kidneys. Dr. Barkan was a good listener and got down to what my issue could be caused from so that helped to put things in perspective.

Dr. Barkan is fantastic! She explains things in depth, never seems rushed, is very friendly and is obviously competent in her field. She is well prepared for our conversation and seems genuinely concerned about me as a patient and committed to developing the best care plan available.

Dr. Barkan was patient, kind, took time to answer my questions thoroughly, and made me feel like an equal part of the problem solving process. The nurses who assisted were also both very helpful.

Overall the experience with the appointment I had with Dr. Barkan was very pleasant. They are extremely kind and thoughtful while providing clear explanations to questions and concerns. They have done a great job of setting expectations with the path forward to recovery. They even went above and beyond to help me remove some stitches for me that I received during my time in the hospital. I could not ask for more from them and greatly enjoy any chance I have to talk with them.The reception team was also extremely pleasant and helpful when I arrived. I had a very minimal wait time after checking in of 5-10 minutes

Dr. Barkin easy manner and explanations makes it easy for to relax and comprehend.

I was referred to Dr Barkan and although she wasn't able to help me she referred me to Urology for a second opinion. She went over my CAT Scan with me and was aware of my issues. She took the time to answer my questions. I was happy with my appointment with her and she relieved me of some of my worries.

No complaints, excellent Dr. ,and nurse, overall very helpful. Really HEARD me.

Everyone I've worked with at Swedish has a great attitude and is very helpful. If I have an odd question non emergency I use MyChart and usually hear the next day.

I see this specialty provider when she suggest, because, I have no worries about the timeframe she wishes to see me next. She's a very professional doctor and is kind and understanding. I look forward to seeing her each time.

Excellent care with very little wait time

Dr. Barkan is the best. She is gentle, empathetic, knowledgeable, helpful and on point with my kidney problems. Highly recommended to anyone requiring a very good Nephrologist.

The appointment was quick, efficient and helped with understanding developments since I had last had my check-in. I was informed about potential additional treatments and why we felt those were unnecessary at this time but we could keep an eye out in case they would become useful.

She provides updates on my condition and reviews how my condition is tracking since implementing new medication.She insures this information is coordinated with my cardiologist.
