I was pleased with the entire experience. This was my first visit; switching kidney specialist due to leaving Overlake and putting my care in the hands of Swedish. First visits can be awkward, but this was not the case. Dr. Tekeste is personable, knowledgeable, an active listener, asks really good questions, demonstrates a thorough knowledge of how to help someone with one kidney, and speaks to the level of understanding demonstrated by his patient. I really liked him and more importantly as I continue to age (69 presently) I feel confident he will manage my kidney care to my best interest. I would say he is a keeper. Oh, nice man too, my husband and I both thought so.

Dr Tekeste is my nephrologist and is always caring and patient. He takes his time to talk about my kidney problem. I am very confident in his skills as and consider him a professional with a heart and focuses on his patients medical problems.

Even though I see this doctor for a specific condition, he is the one whom I trust the most to see me as a whole person and consider/know all my issues when treating me. I continue to learn from him how to be more proactive to take care of my body myself. Would that more docs would treat patients as whole individuals instead of as cookie cutter entities that must fit into pre-determined norms according to statistical averages.

Dr Tekeste is always thorough, helpful and interested re any new issues, at each appointment.

I have found that Dr. Tekeste is very focused on his discussions with regarding any concerns I have related to my current condition or how other issues I'm facing connect to my concerns. He gives me a full picture of my issues and how to stay healthy while I address any issues. He shares information in a way that I completely understand enabling me to take better care of myself. This is greatly appreciated.

He is a good provider, he explained everything slowly to make me understands , he always listens when I asked questions and he answers right away, he helped out his for keeping his patient on the same track, things that are no longer good avoid for my health. As of me I really liked him.

I always enjoy when I go and see Dr. Tekeste, I see him for my Kidneys! He always is very professional and answers all my questions! He explains it in a way that helps me understand my kidneys and ways that I can help them so they won't get worst! Dr. Tekeste helps me understand how important the food I eat and that it's improved eat healthy food instead of junk food and to exercise, drink lots of water. That these couple of things can help not only my kidneys but help my whole body! He is very easy to talk to!

Does a good job

This provider is a specialist who is treating a permanent disease. He is extraordinary for being able to listen and explain clearly. He also listens and takes action if there is a new concern. I am almost 82 yrs. I rarely have been treated by a physician who gives his patients such attention. In recent years I have lost several specialists and primary care physicians to retirement or leaving Swedish. For some time he was the only one monitoring labs and seeing me. My health definitely would have deteriorated were it not for him.

The Dr. Is obviously knowledgeable, but did not listen carefully to what I was relaying. Im not a common lay person, I have medical experience, but even someone who they think doesn't have the same experience should be listened to.
