Dr Karlesen is very knowledgeable about the issues I'm dealing with (menopause, high hereditary cancer risk) and has provided helpful guidance and referrals. She called me personally to let me know when my breast MRI was abnormal and made sure I understood the issue and how we could address it. I assume she made the phone call so that I would not be surprised when results showed up in my chart. At my follow up appointment, she was thorough and thoughtful in coming up with a plan for further evaluation. In addition, when I have messaged her practice through Mychart, I have always gotten a prompt reply from her or someone else who was able to help me.

Dr. Carson is an amazing doctor. She has excellent people skills, which make it easy for me to open up and be honest about my mental health concerns. In the year that I've known her, I've always felt that all of my concerns were addressed with care and attention. Recently, I had my first blood test for vitamin D and iron-something no other doctor had ever recommended. It turns out I'm extremely low in both, and I'm so grateful to have finally discovered that information.

Everything went well. The issue of a brief episode of post menopausal bleeding was addressed. Dr Karlson seemed very understanding when I expressed frustration over ending up in the ER for what I was so sure was strep throat, but found out it was notonly to segue into some other bizarre form of painful vaginitis. Neither of these episodes revealed an infection. More likely it was a systemic inflammatory reaction of some kind.

Ths is a HUGE change from my last experience with a new physician, which was a terrible, very bad experience: I was disrespected, they didn't listen to me, Laughed at me! Disregarded my needs and dismissed my fears as silly! I did not seek care for over a year due to this last treatment. This visit and new Dr is a good choice for me. Thank you to Dr. Karlsen for bringing back my faith in healthcare.
