About Anish S. Konde
"Dr. Konde grew up in the suburbs of Houston, TX which is where he is originally from. His interest in Oncology began when he did clinical research at a major academic center in California. After medical school, he completed a one year research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He went on to complete an Internal Medicine residency at Louisiana State University in Lafayatte, LA and a fellowship in Hematology & Medical Oncology at Oakland University - William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. In addition to his clinical interest of community hematology & oncology, Dr. Konde has also presented his research work at national and international meetings/conferences. Dr. Konde takes pride in providing cutting edge, evidence based & data driven medicine to the community. His believes in having a friendly and a mutually respectful relationship with his patients and their families. His practice emphasizes the values of service, transparancy & empathy. Apart from Medicine, Dr. Konde enjoys traveling and outdoor activities. He is close to completing his personal goal of traveling to ""40 under 40"" countries. He enjoys discovering new cultures, cuisines and gaining perspective in life. He de-stresses by cooking, spending time with family and lounging. "

It would be super helpful if Dr. Konde wasn't so rushed. When you are giving news to a patient about cancer, empathy and compassion are very important. Instead of rushing through the appointment, remembering we are dealing with some big news and need a doctor who understands that is imperative.

Dr. Konde is a top notch doctor. From entering building to exit, every single person I had contact with was expertly competent, efficient, thorough. I have been to this office twice, I knew my lab results before seeing the doctor. Wait time is minimal, no forgotten patients, no rushing around. Reception, lab techs, nurses, assistants, schedulers, everyone under Dr. Konde made me feel comfortable and confident in my care. I wish he could be my PCP. Someone with cancer care needs would be well taken care of here. Being under the umbrella of Swedish also provides peace of mind in quality care. Over the age of 60, I have never encountered such a pleasant medical facility. People should feel confident in their medical team, Dr. Konde knocks it out of the park for me.
