Swedish is VERY fortunate to have Dr. Esmail as a provider. I have been seeing him for decades and he remembers EVERYTHING! He truly cares and addresses what needs to be addressed. He has a special way of reminding me of what I need to do to follow up. Overall, my daughter and I are healthy and alive because of Dr. Esmail. I hope he never retires or leaves Swedish. I hope the Swedish organization is doing everything to take care of employees like him.My only bad experience was the person drawing my blood! She was so crabby. You can tell she does not like her job or patients. What a sad way to live life.

Dr Esmail is a very sweet, caring doctor, but I often find myself frustrated that I leave with my issues unresolved. I feel like he truly wants to help, but I'm always referred to a specialist. I feel like we should be able to work together on things like what I think are normal perimenopause symptoms and other things that aren't wildly unusual health issues. I want to work with him as my PCP because of his compassion, but I feel like I need to be referred to specialists without an expensive appointment with him first.
