Dr. Doughtery's an excellent care provider.My first positive experience w/ a neurologist. In 2010, after 15yrs of seizures I became seizure free due to his ability to listen to me (the patient) and willingness to try new/different medications. I've since moved to CA, and recently back to WA and am extremely happy to have the Dr as my NEURO again-- I was contemplating not moving because of horrible Dr experiences. Thank you

This was our second visit with Dr Doherty-medical needs aren't urgent but this was a follow up to a chronic condition and medication changes are happening-. Dr Doherty is great about writing clear detailed notes that include specific instructions and info. He is also great about responding to portal communication. He is focused on my daughter's epilepsy but his concerned is not just about seizures but about how epilepsy and treatments impact her overall health and quality of life. This has not been the level of care we have received by outside neuro providers-I am thrilled that we have a found him

Dr Doherty is great. I am a Kaiser pt, but was blessed to have a referral to see him. My husband and I used to volunteer for the epilepsy foundation and know him from there. Very well liked by everyone who knows him. Swedish has been great regarding everything.

I learned more in this 1st visit with Dr Doherty than what I have been told by past physicians for 44 years of being epileptic. He is very thorough and we are so happy!!!!

Dr Doherty is calm and solid and doesn't talk down to patients. Dr Glass was a hard act to follow but Dr Doherty succeeded.

This was our first appointment with this provider-he was thoughtful, knowledgeable and appropriately concerned about my daughter's specific medical challenges as well as how that impacts the rest of her life. He listened to our concerns and had reviewed her info before our appointment and came with some thoughts and concerns of his own very kind to both my daughter and I.

Dr. Doherty checks all that pertains to neuro, seizures, and then he asks about other health items. He makes sure the patient is followed by all necessary specislists snd checking with the primary care doc also. He confirms medication dises snd thinks outside the box for any lifestyle triggers for seizures or anxiety. He is thorough and cares for his patients.

We have appreciated Dr. Doherty's expertise for over a dozen years now. We trust him with our daughters' best decisions for seizure control and medicine management as well as procedures as needed.

Dr Doherty has helped me get me seizures under control and Iam so much happier for it.

Dr. Doherty gave me a new chapter of life. After 3 years of struggling to have my health problems properly diagnosed and treated, Dr. Doherty precisely pinpointed and diagnosed my brain bleed, answered all our questions clearly, concisely, and patiently. They have all been good. It took quite awhile to get the medications and dosages of medications necessary to eliminate me from having seizures. He is never rushed when meeting with my wife and I and communicates with my regular doctor as needed.

I feel most comfortable with Dr. Doherty. He is thorough and always explains, in layman's terms, making the information very understandable. He has that "bedside" manner you always hope for in a doctor!

We communicate often thru my chart. Always prompt answers, much attention given to what we observe at home and our opinion counts in this team. Dr's knowledge and experience guides all care but his ability to sort out things that can be contributing factors of well being are incredible. This office, this care- this is the reason we don't move to a warmer place where cost of living is less. We couldn't replace the excellent care anywhere else.

I'm not sure how Swedish Medical Center does it, but every single person that we have had contact with was exceptional. I'm an RN at a different hospital and wish that our staff could provide the level of care and responsiveness at every level as Swedish Medical Center.. I am thoroughly impressed.

Great experience. When asked about phone calls I was talking about contact through MyChart, which is the preferred way to interact our providers. It was always extremely efficient.

For a Zoom appointment, it went very well !
