Willow Rose Kamer, Willow Rose

Willow completed her postpartum doula training at the Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations at Bastyr University in July of 2020. Her passion for birthwork and the postpartum period began much earlier. In fact, it's probably been there since she witnessed her sister being born at their home in California when she was almost four years old. Through her teens and early adult life she used this passion to nanny and babysit for several families while also taking time to follow her adventurous spirit around the country. She has sailed various parts of the west coast and around the Delaware Bay, farmed in Vermont, sold baked goods in Hawaii, and driven across the country in snowy winter. Having landed in Washington, she is now enjoying settling down and taking the time to cultivate lasting roots. Through honoring the present moment and holding space for both the traditions of the past and possibilities of the future, Willow hopes to help support her clients as they strengthen and deepen their connections within their family, their community, and the world at large. She brings a respectful, calming sense of ease and a graceful presence to this special, precious time in each family’s life. When not attending clients, Willow spends her time reading in front of the fireplace, cooking delicious meals, taking pictures, going on nature walks, and marveling at the greenery of her new home in the Pacific Northwest.
