I started my work in my native country Mexico, I first started guiding the families during their pregnancy, and when they arrived home with the baby (as a postpartum doula), I always had the calling to be helping the families but especially the pregnant mothers, In Mexico we do not have the privilege of being accompanied by someone who can give you that support during childbirth, so when I arrived in Seattle in 2003 I heard about midwives and doulas and began to investigate more, but I was also curious about early education so I began to study for ECE, My vision for working with young children broadened. I had my first job as a nanny with newborns and had the opportunity to do overnight work with the families, I continued to take more training with DCYF, took sleep training, after a while I had the opportunity to take training to become a birth and postpartum doula, my first language is Spanish which has allowed me to work with the Latino community at Open Arms Perinatal Service, I am currently still taking education classes such as spinning babies, child birth education etc. , and I am a very active member of the community. I enjoy dancing, cooking and listening to podcasts.
