About Luisa Cajiao
My journey in caregiving began with a deep desire to help others, which first led me to medical school and later to hands-on roles as a nanny, babysitter, and caregiver. Those early experiences sparked my passion for supporting families during one of the most transformative times in life: welcoming a new baby. Over the years, I’ve supported many families through the long nights of newborn life. I know how much rides on a good night’s rest, especially when you’re recovering, adjusting, and learning your baby. I am CPR certified for both infants and adults and have completed a CNA course, which allows me to bring both knowledge and calm confidence into the home. I pay close attention to babies’ cues and developmental changes, tailoring my support to each baby’s needs, whether that’s cluster feeding, reflux, colic, growth spurts, or sleep rhythms. I also provide clear, thoughtful communication so parents feel informed, supported, and empowered. Being part of the Seattle doula community is something I’m proud of. I stay current through continuing education because I want every family I work with to feel they’re receiving thoughtful, up-to-date, and deeply respectful care. I’ve had the privilege of supporting families from a variety of cultural backgrounds, which has given me insight into different approaches to family care. Through these experiences, I’ve gained valuable knowledge and have built my experience around the well-being of both baby and parents. During overnight shifts, I focus on creating a calm, organized, and nurturing environment. I take care of feedings, soothing, diapering, and baby care, while also supporting the household in small but meaningful ways: cleaning bottles, folding baby laundry, and helping the morning feel a little easier when you wake up. My goal is for parents to feel not only rested, but also supported and more confident with their baby. I’m grateful to have been welcomed into the homes of so many families, and it’s an honor to provide care that helps them rest, recharge, and focus on their new baby.
