Let me be your village. We always hear ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ but when the time comes to do the raising in this modern world, so rarely we find a village to help us! I believe that my role as a postpartum doula is to take the place of the metaphorical village and create an environment in which families can grow those tender first roots that will allow them all to flourish and blossom after their fourth trimester is complete. I will provide you with knowledge of what is normal, referrals for what is not, and support for the choices you feel are right for your family. My goal is to take away enough of your ‘mental load’ that you have the space to focus on bonding with your new addition and healing, and that looks different for every family.
