Kirsten Kime, Kirsten

Kirsten was trained through the SMC Full Circle Doula Training Program in October 2020. Training focused on being a full family support provider from pregnancy through the postpartum period. Teachings are based on African midwifery practices and has a foundation of diversity and support for under-supported families of all ethnicities. Being able to support and empower her clients to have a positive birth experience as well as supporting their vision of their birthing experience are a top priority for Kirsten. Being a mom of 3 premature children herself she comes with a lot of experience navigating high risk pregnancies, births and NICU experiences. She is pursuing further education on lactation education to better support her postpartum clients with the challenges of breastfeeding. Working as CNA for the past 18 years, the previous 10 years being in Critical Care, she brings along her experiences in keeping the process tranquil, serene and calm as to best support the wellbeing of her clients and their family.
