I am a DONA International certified birth doula and doula trainer at Bastyr University’s Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations. My greatest pleasure as a birth doula is supporting families’ confidence, joy and excitement about the birth and early parenting of their children. I have extensive experience with families facing higher-risk pregnancies and have a special interest blending high tech with high touch: Keeping families connected with the birth process, increasing trust and mutual understanding with their medical care providers and finding ways to work with technology for the best outcomes possible. I’m a Washington State native and graduate of the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. When I’m not supporting families, I love walking my Phinney Ridge neighborhood, cross-fitting, debating with my book club, attempting to knit, and cooking huge meals because my husband and two daughters love leftovers for lunch.
