Darlene Johnson, Doula

Darlene’s passion for supporting mothers after the most beautiful moments of life led her to become a postpartum doula. Her own experience supporting her daughter after the birth of her grandson and now new granddaughter truly opened her eyes to how important the postpartum period is in the overall experience of parenthood in the first years. Darlene, a licensed esthetician, womb wellness practitioner, and certified herbalist, completed her postpartum doula training with BEST Doula out of Dallas, Texas, in 2023. “It takes a village” is her mantra, and Darlene believes every mother/parent deserves support and encouragement during the first 40 days after bringing baby home. She creates an environment for healing and rest using holistic practices, including meditation, sound therapy, herbal baths, yoni steams, and nourishing meals to support families during such a bonding time. Darlene was born in Portland, Oregon, grew up in Seattle, Washington, and spent the last 14 years in Dallas, Texas. She’s happy to be back home and moved back to be closer to her grandkids. She enjoys yoga/working out, eating great food, spending time in nature, and being with her family.
