Andrea Balina

I am a DONA International certified birth doula trained in 2012 at the Bastyr University Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations, and I continue to enjoy the experience and learn incredible amounts from each new mom and baby, which renews my passion for the work. I use comfort measures and constant emotional support as tools at a birth, but I feel my calming presence and loving hands are my greatest assets. I have experience working with first-time mothers, single parents, high risk mothers, and more, but my specialty is working with the Spanish speaking population. I was born and raised in Argentina, and I currently reside in north Seattle, where I live with my husband and our three amazing children. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, cooking, and reading. I feel honored that families welcome me into their lives at such a special moment for the birth of their child. Soy una doula de parto certificada por DONA International, entrenada en 2012 en la Universidad Bastyr Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations, y continúo aprendiendo y disfrutando con cada nueva mamá y bebé que acompaño, renovando mi pasión por esta profesión. Utilizo medidas de confort y apoyo emocional constante como herramientas en el parto, pero siento que mi presencia calmada y mis manos amorosas son lo más valioso. Tengo experiencia trabajando con madres primerizas, solteras, o con problemas de alto riesgo, y más, pero mi especialidad es trabajar con familias hispanas. Nací y me crié en Argentina, y actualmente resido en el norte de Seattle, donde vivo junto a mi esposo y tres hijos maravillosos. En mi tiempo libre me gusta estar con mi familia, la jardinería, cocinar y leer. Me siento honrada de que las familias me reciban en sus vidas en ese momento tan especial como es el nacimiento de un hijo/a. Rate: $1600
