Always easy to see. Hardly any waiting. Reviews our history together. Handles my concerns very well. Explains complicated stuff better than any other Physician. Is very reassuring to me that things are going well. A treat to have him overseeing my treatment. Wish they were all that way.

I was surprised when Dr. Burger said that he was surprised I wasn't on statins. He's the only cardiologist I've ever had, so he should know why I'm not on statins. He then prescribed statins for me and when I asked why he said "cholesterol." My cholesterol, LDL, and HDL levels are normal, so I don't understand why he prescribed statins. He did not elaborate. I plan to follow up via MyChart. On one of my first visits with Dr. Burger he also did not elaborate on a short answer to a question I asked. I would prefer a doctor who gives me more information.

He has been my cardiologist for several years and has proven to be very knowledgeable in his specialty, well versed in new information, interested In his patient, and proactive and considerate, which is all very reassuring as a patient. His determination of which medications I should take Is always spot on. Though I see him every six months, he and his office have never hesitated to get back to me when I have submitted a question via MyChart.

Clinician doesn't provide a amiable feeling at appointment.Doesn't explain the results of the ECHO and when my spouse asked about some change, clinician only said "it's fine " He listened to my heart and lungs but didn't tell me what he thinks. More than 1/2 of the appointment time he was busy typing his office notes. Clinicians are very busy and short of time, and patients are getting more complex and older (slower & hearing decline). I do appreciate the care provided , just wish the appointments are bit more pleasant. Thanks
