About Amanda B. Steen
As an inpatient Physiatrist, my role is to provide comprehensive care that takes into account my patient’s disease process, current deficits, and expected trajectory of recovery. I am a function doctor, helping patients, families, and other members of the patient’s medical team understand how the patient’s physical impairments translate into real-world activity limitations. I tell patients that I am the bridge between the medical world and the therapy world, and that an understanding of each, combined with the details of a patient’s unique social situation, allows me to create individualized rehabilitation plans. My goal is to guide patients on their individual recovery journeys.
