Michelle Rappaport, MD

Michelle Rappaport, MD is board certified in obesity medicine and internal medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Washington, focusing on primary care. After residency, she practiced primary care in Seattle, where she observed the limitations of lifestyle changes alone in addressing obesity and related conditions such as diabetes. Her experience led her to pursue additional training and board certification in obesity medicine. Dr. Rappaport subsequently shifted her clinical practice to focus on the medical management of obesity. In February 2022, she joined Swedish Weight Loss Services, where her practice is dedicated to obesity medicine. Her approach emphasizes evidence-based treatment strategies for obesity as a chronic and complex disease.
