Professional Statement
Dr. West fully embraces the osteopathic philosophy, which is to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is used to facilitate the integration of structural and functional elements and their coordination for complex human movements and behavior. The techniques focus on removing mechanical hindrances, allowing the body to realize its health potential. Muscle energy, strain-counterstrain, cranial osteopathy, balanced ligamentous tension and myofascial release are among some of the many different techniques he employs in his practice. As a physician, Dr. Wests goal is to help patients in all age groups overcome the obstacles that prevent them from fully participating in their life.

Tony's care has resulted in a big improvement

Dr. West is truly one of the best doctors I've ever seen. He has a gift and he also caring and kind. I am so lucky to be his patient.

Dr. West is stupendous in his field! I am so thankful to have found him for my spine needs and feel confident that he can "fix" my issues! Such a relief!

I would testify to the help he's given me, however the scheduling problems would make me hesitant to recommending him.

I think Dr. West is technically competent, but he lacks quality bedside manner. He kept stopping me while I was explaining my symptoms to type on his computer, and while I understand its important to document, it was distracting for me to explain whats been going on in this stop and go manner. He did a thorough examination and some manipulation, and I hope we're on the right track to get rid of my pain, but I felt the end of the appointment came rather abruptly, and I left not quite sure what my diagnosis or Dr. West's conclusions were. He wants me to come back for future appointments, and I'm hopeful that I'll better understand what my diagnoses are at that time.

It seemed he didn't know the history of my initial injury. he related my pain to being stress and not working out enough even though I informed him I workout 2-3 a week and that exercise exacerbates pain. he recommended exercise 5-6 times and told me pretty much to ignore the pain and to work through it. he did a minor adjustment which helped for a few hours. even though he wanted to see me in 6 to 8 weeks there was no availability until 4 months later. not sure yet if I will come back

Very good pt. interaction.

Dr. West seemed angry when I did not respond as he had expected to his treatment.

Dr West is by far one of the best providers I have ever seen. He is a compassionate, caring and thorough Doctor. I feel he excels at providing the best possible care for his patients. I would recommend him to anyone I know

In worst pain ever next morning; unable to hold head up straight. Sharp extreme pain upon movement. Unable to put shirt on. muscle cramp on shoulder forced my neck into extremely painful position, 9/10. called Dr office, said they would call back with instructions. Had already tried icing, heat, RX pain meds. I missed a call due to inability to move that quickly, no message was ever left. unable to drive for 2 days due to muscle spasm. Currently neck in much worse shape than when I went in, requiring daily pain medication, ice, traction, etc.

In half a century of being involved in the medical system, this doctor is head and shoulders above the rest. A rare, caring, professional who provides totally comprehensive care. Plus he has a good and friendly attitude. He treats the person, not just the medical condition, using a unique tailored approach. He should be advising other doctors and training them in his methods -- as long as that wouldn't take him away from the patients, like me, who rely on his knowledge, skills, and expertise to relieve the pain, stiffness, and soreness, without meds.

will not be seeing him again

30 minutes for an osteopathic diagnosis and manipulation is not enough time. Dr. West should be allowed to schedule 60-minute appointments.

Dr West is so busy. it's a 2-3 month wait between visits which makes it hard to feel like we are really building upon anything. But he's a great doctor.

I can't say enough about Dr West! I had been scheduled for 2 surgeries (Orthopedic surgeons) but instead Dr West alleviated my pain though adjustments, exercises, and postural suggestions. No surgery needed.

I believe I am functioning much better due to Dr. West's care.

Dr. West is a very unique, out-of-the-box care provider. I really appreciate his approach to my chronic pain. But the onset of pain has been at least 8-9 years. I think he expects my symptoms to be subsiding faster and seems a little frustrated that I am not experiencing remarkable results YET. I definitely wish to continue treatment, but think it will take longer to get results. Dr. West takes a more intuitive approach than communicative approach.

Dr. West's treatments have reduced my pain and made my quality of life much better. he is thorough, courteous, helpful and kind. I have referred several people to him. A good friend of my was treated by he and Dr. [...]. She received helpful treatments and advice that reduced her pain. She recommends them both now.

There is nothing bad to say about Dr. West only good. He is amazing at what he does.

While Dr. West is excellent at what he does, his schedule is always booked at least 3 months out, so there is always a long interval between visits.

I am a VERY satisfied patient of Dr. West's and I have the utmost respect for him and what he does. I think he is amazing and I can't say enough good things about him. I've had chronic neck pain for more than 15 years and have seen every type of doctor and therapist there is. A year and a half ago I walked out of [...] in Seattle feeling very dejected after being told I would have to to live with pain for the rest of my life and there was nothing anyone could do for me. One of my massage therapists told me about Dr. West and suggested I see him. I had to wait almost four months for my initial appointment with Dr. West and he was really my last hope. It was worth the wait. Dr. West helps me with my pain via manipulation. I look forward to every single visit with him and only wish I could see him more often as my issues come back sooner than I would like. I'm very grateful to Dr. West for his help. He's friendly, personable, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and great at what he does.

Dr West is an excellent provider with knowledge and genuine concern and treatment for his patients

Dr Tony West "walks on water" as far as I am concerned. I tell all my friends about this guy in Seattle that really knows and helps you....not text book stuff. I have had two appts with him and each time I left smiling like WOW, why can't there be more of him around? He is very difficult to get in, the word is out! Not sure how to ease up that situation but I know you can get an appt if you make the arrangements at the end of my first appt....I am so proud of hima nd how I am doing... [...]

Always satisfied!

Dr. West has a very gentle, calming demeanor that puts patients at ease.

Dr. West is exceptional. I feel much more positive and hopeful about my condition and empowered to attain a better outcome than I have in years with seeing multiple providers for the same condition.

The work Dr. West does in easing the body of its woes is wonderful. He puts parts of the body that have moved out of place through injury or emotional trauma back into place (or at least moving toward the right place), and encourages physical therapy to assist the work he does. He is a kind and caring man and a wonderful doctor.

Dr. West is fantastic. His treatments make my conditions manageable. I'm glad he treats me.

Appointments with this provider are extremely difficult to get. I was supposed to be seen for a follow-up visit in 4 weeks; his soonest opening is in 3 months. I was referred to Dr. West for a specific form of manual therapy which he did not do on this visit.

DR West is among the BEST doctor's I have ever seen on a professional basis.

Dr. West was able to provide treatment that worked, after massage & chiro. was ineffective.

dr west is always professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
