PATIENT RATINGS AND COMMENTS

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey.Responses are measured on a 10 - point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5 - point scale in order to display results in a 5 - star rating.Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

I trust this place and all the staff especially Dr Chuang. she always gives me the time and attention I need sheparding me through the journey of my version of Parkinson's. sometimes doctor and sometimes parent in her guidance and expectations (& I have children older than Doctor Chuang). I hope I never have to take my care elsewhere.

I have, since I started with this provider, sent 8 emails , none of which she has ever answered. The only way I can get an answer is to call, ask the desk person t o ask the RN to print out the email, take it to the MD, get an answer, and then get back to me. This time, when booking follow up visits, I also asked for interim phone visits so that if I had questions, I could access the MD, I was told she does not do phone visits. The agreement I reached was to put attn (phone answerer's first name) and she wold direct my email to the RN, who would get it to the MD. Why not just send smoke signals?! Getting through to this provider between visits should not be this hard. I sat down 2 visits ago and told the doctor exactly what what was happening, and how i felt left hanging in the breeze with no one who knew me or no one to coordinate my care or answer my concerns. (Between that visit and this one, I again sent an unanswered email.) [...]

I feel confident in Dr. Chuang's expertise and diagnosis. [...] I feel like my health history, including more than my walking symptoms, were not discussed, and that I was given a website to explain the diagnosis, which while helpful, is overwhelming and challenging for me to navigate because only my walking was addressed when there's so much more going on. I feel like I will find a more thorough provider who can walk.me through things better. I needed more explanation and time than she provided, and I think our meeting went under time.

The provider seems very competent. I am still not sure we have a good rapport. She seems a little distant.
