David E. Dong,  MD, PhD

Professional Statement

Coming from a family of medical and pharmacy professionals, Dr. Dong first achieved his doctorate in pharmacy before going on to medical school and specializing in hematology and oncology. In 1998, he was recruited by a community-based medical oncology practice. His attraction was simple. "Here you get good patient support and care, and a nurturing environment. As your doctors, we help you better understand the different treatment options available and make informed decisions." As a part of the Swedish Cancer Institute, Dr. Dong is able to provide his patients with the best of both worlds: personalized treatment in a nurturing environment, as well as access to the latest advances in treatment. Dr. Dong believes this combination empowers patients and allows them to make more informed choices.
