About

Professional Statement

Dr. Seely attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate degree, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and graduated summa cum laude. For medical school, he attended the Baylor College of Medicine where he graduated with honors in his medical and surgical clinical rotations. He then completed a six year residency in the University of Washington’s Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, which included training at the University Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Harborview, the Veterans Hospital, as well as a senior resident rotation at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. He won both research and educational achievement awards during his residency training and was awarded a National Cancer Society Fellowship. In addition, due to a lifelong interest in third world health issues, he completed a two year NIH funded fellowship in International Public Health at the University of Washington, earning a Masters Degree in Public Health. He has served on the clinical faculty at the University of Washington since 1995. Due to the depth and breadth of his training, Dr. Seely enjoys all aspects of ENT practice, particularly focusing on voice, and sinus disorders. He works in partnership with his patients, focusing on accurate diagnosis, education, and thorough discussion of treatment options. He has been repeatedly voted by his peers as a “Top Doctor”. Dr. Seely is married and has two daughters. He enjoys traveling, hiking, cycling, and all of the performing arts.
