New treatment for essential tremor is life-changing

Essential tremor, a movement disorder, can make it nearly impossible for some people to use their hands. A breakthrough treatment called focused ultrasound has been very successful in helping many patients. Swedish is the only hospital in the Pacific Northwest to offer the treatment. ExAblate Neuro is a non-surgical technique that uses ultrasound to treat essential tremor, a neurological disorder that causes rhythmic shaking, most commonly in the hands, but also in the arms and legs.
