Jane Uhlir, M.D., Executive Director
Dr. Jane Uhlir is the Executive Director of the Gossman Center and the Executive Director for Women and Infants for Swedish Health Services.  Jane completed medical school at the University of Washington in 1978 and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1982 at the University of Washington.  She practiced OB/GYN at Swedish since residency until she retired from clinical practice and began her administrative positions in 2009.  For years Jane did OB/GYN quality work and then system wide quality work as Chief of Staff.  Her training and passion for quality and safety are combined in the simulation work at Gossman.

Theresa Demeter, MHA, Director
Theresa Demeter is the Director of the Gossman Center. With 15 years experience in management and education related to Women and Infants Outpatient Services Theresa brings a unique skill set to the management of the Gossman Center. In addition to her responsibilities for the strategic planning and development of the center, she is Director of Women and Infants Outpatient Services and Wellness Services. She is a participating member of the PNW Health Care Simulation Collaborative and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Michelle Walters, MN, RN, Program & Curriculum Manager
Michelle Walters is responsible for collaborating with simulation center staff, program director, appropriate hospital leadership, and content experts to develop simulation programs, write evidence-based simulation scenarios, and to facilitate and evaluate simulation sessions for areas such as Emergency Departments, Intensive and Acute Care Units, Code Teams, and Pediatrics. Before her work at the Gossman Center, she was an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department nurse for 1o years as well as an ICU educator. Michelle also taught clinical nursing at the college level for three years. Michelle received her Master in Nursing in 2014 with a focus on simulation education and simulation program planning/development. She is a member of the Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
