Overview
Adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that begins in the cells that line the glands and ducts within the pancreas and accounts for 90 percent of pancreatic cancers, though other types of cancer, including islet cell neoplasms, also originate in the pancreas. To determine the best treatment options available for pancreatic cancer, it is important to first determine where in the body – the liver, bile ducts, etc. – the cancer may have spread.
