9th Annual Pacific Northwest Head and Neck Cancer Symposium: Thyroid Disorders - Guidelines, Guidance, and Common Sense

Friday, May 5, 2023

Swedish Education & Conference Center
Swedish Cherry Hill, James Tower
500 17th Avenue
Seattle, Washington

This symposium has been designed to present contemporary clinical and scientific information for clinicians involved in the care of patients with both benign and malignant thyroid disease. A multidisciplinary panel of experts will discuss the most recent clinical innovations in their respective fields and expose attendees to new concepts and management protocols for treating thyroid nodules, thyroiditis, and thyroid cancer. Sessions will cover the medical and surgical management of thyroiditis, the contemporary algorithm for evaluating thyroid nodules, and a logical approach for treating cervical lymph nodes in thyroid cancer. Further, the role of novel chemotherapeutic strategies and current surgical techniques for advanced thyroid cancer will be discussed. This symposium will enable participants to apply the newly acquired knowledge and data-driven algorithms in order to maximize benefits to patients with thyroid disease. This symposium is presented in collaboration with the Fred Hutch Cancer Center and University of Washington School of Medicine.

This symposium is designed for providers in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, endocrinology, general surgery, primary-care, family medicine, residents, fellows and allied health professionals in the Pacific Northwest.
