Swedish Cherry Hill Awarded Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification

Swedish Medical Center is proud to announce that the Swedish Neuroscience Institute team at Cherry Hill has been awarded the Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification from DNV GL- Healthcare. Swedish Cherry Hill is currently one of two hospitals in the state of Washington to receive the comprehensive stroke certification designation.

Swedish Opens New Primary Care Clinic in Richmond Beach

Swedish announced today the opening of a new Primary Care clinic in the Richmond Beach community of Shoreline. The clinic is located at 604 NW Richmond Beach Road. Swedish Richmond Beach and offers multiple services including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, wellness visits, diabetes management, well child visits and sports physicals. The clinic also offers x-ray services, a lab on site and online scheduling.

Swedish Medical Center Foundation Names New President

As reported in the Puget Sound Business Journal, Jay Vogelsang, CFRE, will be joining the Swedish senior leadership team in early December as Chief Development Officer and President of Swedish Medical Center Foundation. Jay comes to Swedish with 30 years of leadership experience in fundraising for large, complex medical centers including University of Utah Health Sciences and Mayo Clinic.

Swedish Announces New Four-Year Contracts with SEIU 1199NW

Swedish announced today that it has reached contract agreements with SEIU Healthcare 1199NW, the union that represents approximately 6,800 R.N.s, technicians and service workers at Swedish Medical Center and Swedish Edmonds. The new contracts include competitive wages and benefits designed to retain current caregivers while also attracting new ones to the organization. SEIU members approved the contracts in a vote that concluded last night.

Swedish Receives Consumer Choice Award from National Research Corporation for the 16th Year

Swedish Medical Center announced today it has received the 2015/2016 Consumer Choice Award from National Research Corporation. The annual award identifies hospitals across the United States that healthcare consumers choose as having the highest quality and image. This is the 16th year that Swedish has received this award.

Dr Derel Finch named as Vice President of Medical Affairs for Swedish Cherry Hill

Swedish is pleased to announce that Derel Finch, M.D., FCCP, has accepted the position of Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) for Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle. Dr. Finch officially starts as VPMA on Monday, Oct. 5 and will maintain his current role as Executive Medical Director of Critical Care and TeleICU for Swedish Health Services.
