communication was difficult for me as the medical terms such ask specific names of muscles and tendons were not easily understood

She was rushed "canned" on what she said - assuming that she can prescribe treatment w/o x-rays review; I would like personal explanation of x-rays & also prognosis.

Again, I think VERY highly of Dr. Yen. But I would not recommend her practice to anyone else because of the wait times for scheduling appointments and treatment.

Dr. Yen is very knowledgeable & easy to talk to. I thought she talked a little too fast and I had a hard time absorbing everything she said but I find this true w/most doctors.

I am a retired physician with a passion for fitness. Dr. Yen evaluated my troublesome shoulder. She did an exemplary job. I could not have been more pleased with my care.

After moving to the Seattle area I was worried if I could find a provider who could help me with my chronic pain and atrophy. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Dr. Yen and her team! I feel significant improvement already with the care she has provided and the referrals to pt. Dr. Yen has given me confidence to know I am not going to have to live with this chronic pain and will be able to get back to my normal activities.

Dr Yen talks very fast, and seems impatient. she implied that if only I'd been doing my PT exercises, I wouldn't be having these problems. She was condescending in explaining that osteoarthritis was different from osteopenia/osteoporosis. she recommended that I have an MRI and a spinal cortisone shot, but told me those only last two weeks, so I was left with no solutions or recommendations that were real options, except PT. she gave me a diagnosis that is very depressing, [...], with no real options for treatment except PT. she told me I shouldn't walk, which is quality of life for me.

Provider explained things well but talked kind of fast so it was hard to absorb everything. I find this to be true with most doctors though.

Dr Yen is a rare find talented brighter than usual star Drs. You can see the neurons lighting and firing -- she is very giving of her knowledge as an educator and offered me a fresh perspective of why an MRI would be useful for safety reasons given my activity level, even though I have only intermittent knee locking problems. Exam was most thorough and the follow up for now is w/ PT for other issues of gait. I will follow up […]. She is an excellent Dr, great w/ patients who want to be involved/ educated about their issues. I would highly recommend her, and have!
