I LOVE Dr. Olson! She is smart, compassionate & I trust her completely. She has been my doctor for many years & will be for many more! I'm constantly encouraging people to see her.

I came in with a chronic condition and I felt that I got very little answers and no assistance or guidance. I was recommended things to try that weren't feasible on my own. For example, it was recommended that I try and elimination diet but I felt that I should get a referral to a specialist or get assistance. IBS is complex and I understand that, but I was offered a fad diet and no follow up or referrals to any other specialists.

Dr. Olson is the best!!!!

When I came in to deal with a health concern, I expected to have that addressed. The issue I was dealing with was brushed aside and inadequately dealt with and then she started going through my medicalrecords and coaching me on issuesI already dealt with with my doctor. This experience had me lose faith in this health center and I am not sure who to turn to now my primary doctor is gone.

Dr. Olson is exemplary; she is caring & knowledgeable

Honestly, this care provider 'dismissed' serious signs and symptoms reported during initial workup for back pain. Although referrals were provided at the request of the patient for non-opioid pain management to include physical therapy, medical massage and accupuncture,, this provider insisted that symptoms were degenerative changes as indicated by xray. A second provider was chosen by this patient to initiate an MRI and again the initial provider insisted the report from the MRI supported her diagnosis. Had I not strongly advocated for a spinal specialist at the prompting of my physical therapist, I could have very well been completely disabled by the serious progression of the spinal-neurological findings identified by the physiatrist-specialist recommended by my physical therapist. The physiatrist then referred me to a spinal surgeon which resulted in a major neurosurgical procedure all within a 4 moth time frame.

I'm sure Joan Olson is a good doctor, but she does not have a very good "bedside manner". For example, the other day, the PA took my BP when I first came in and it was high. I told her that it's always high when I go to any doctor and the PA smiled and told me that happens sometimes. Joan took it again when she came in and it was even higher. I gave her the same explanation and she looked at me as if that made her angry. Joan was constantly typing when I saw her. She didn't show much concern for issues that I brought up, or offer me solutions. Fortunately, I don't need much from Joan, only to refill my prescriptions. I don't think I'd want her for anything else because she lacks the kindness and friendliness I expect from a doctor. I am a very sensitive person and require a doctor who treats me as such.

I like Dr. Olson. I've asked her questions regarding my health and she is always respectful when giving medical advice without being condescending in any way - even when my question is prefaced with "according to my research".

15 years experience with Dr. Olson as my primary - Excellent care.

Dr. Olson is great but she never follows up later to check on condition. Follow-up phone call would be nice. I miss that compared to my previous provider.

Dr Olson is excellent listener and explains all questions completely and well. I have complete confidence in her.

Better magazines in the waiting room please.

Very helpful.

I *do* recommend Dr. Joan Olson to others. I think very highly of her; we also have a doctor-patient relationship that predates her association with Swedish Sand Point Primary Care. In fact, I chose Swedish Sand Point Primary Care as my primary care provider because of her association there.

Generally love her but too much time spent looking at computer instead of at patient. Also would be nice to ask if patient had more questions - felt somewhat rushed.
