Dr. Olson is great but she never follows up later to check on condition. Follow-up phone call would be nice. I miss that compared to my previous provider.

I like Dr. Olson. I've asked her questions regarding my health and she is always respectful when giving medical advice without being condescending in any way - even when my question is prefaced with "according to my research".

I *do* recommend Dr. Joan Olson to others. I think very highly of her; we also have a doctor-patient relationship that predates her association with Swedish Sand Point Primary Care. In fact, I chose Swedish Sand Point Primary Care as my primary care provider because of her association there.

Generally love her but too much time spent looking at computer instead of at patient. Also would be nice to ask if patient had more questions - felt somewhat rushed.

Dr. Olson always is informative, remembers who I am, and is very respectful. She understands my health concerns and welcomes any questions I have; which I believe to be paramount in medicine. Including the patient in decision-making and informing them of risks, studies, and any other pertinent information about pharmacology, diagnostics, and follow-up care are things she excels in. I really enjoy seeing Dr. Olson, even though I usually don't want to see her because I'm sick!

Very well informed, kept current with most research finding on issues around medication side effects. Able to quickly conduct an assessment, identify the problem, locate any relevant research on the Internet and able to conclude with with plan of care that optimizes a collaborative treatment plan that not only includes the patient but also incorporates all other providers with the aim being continuity of care for the patient.

She didn't listen to why I had come in and then recommended treatment that would make the initial, and extremely important, reason I came in worse. [...] I deserved a provider to support me through this very stressful time in my life, and she made it worse because I left feeling even more alone and unclear about how to move forward. She didn't even try to understand my situation or offer ANY help that would potentially benefit me. [...] She added absolutely NO VALUE to my care. I would never recommend for anyone to see this provider.

Dr. Olson is such a great doctor. She is so knowledgeable and thorough, respectful and helpful. She has been my physician for 15 years, and I have referred my mother, my husband, and several friends to her practice. I am grateful for her expert care and encouragement of health and preventive medicine.
