Dr. Holland serves as Providence's Chief of Neurosurgery and believes the best neurosurgeons are not only technically and clinically gifted, but are also skilled at guiding patients through the uncertainties of neurological disease. As an Officer for the United States Navy, he served as Staff Neurosurgeon at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, specializing in brain trauma and skull based surgery. Dr. Holland also has many years of experience in brain and spine tumors and vascular/stroke from his positions at the University of California San Francisco, Palo Alto Medical Foundation in CA, and Trinity Mother Frances Health System in TX.
