First time visit. She poopooed me off on something that was very important to me, an instinct I have about my health...when I get this instinct I'm usually right. So the jury is still out on her. She actually said she didn't put much faith in my instinct no matter how often it had been right.

I felt the doctor seemed to forget I had been an RN for 49 years and talked to me like someone without medical knowledge.

This was my first appt with my new primary doctor, and I felt that an inordinate amount of time was spent, both with the PA-C and then the doctor, on going over my list of medications on MyChart (TWICE!) I still have many medical concerns to discuss, so have a follow up appt sked for 2 weeks from the initial appt, with the hopes that I may be able to bring up all my concerns.

I was shocked (in a good way) about the amount of time the doctor and team spent with me for a new patient/physical visit. They really took the time to get to know me and my health concerns.

Every time I have seen Dr. Basilico I can tell she cares about my medical problems and wants to do her best figuring out how to solve them. I've had a recent experience with a care provider who was not this way and I can tell you that Dr. Basilico is a top notch doctor.

Friendly, cautious, makes lots of referrals. Wants to "cover the bases". It takes time to get to know a new provider and evaluate the efficacy of interventions and recommendations. She is bright, assertive, and articulate, all qualities I like.

She is very knowledgeable and asked for a second opinion when she wasn't completely sure of something. I appreciate the follow-up appointments for medications and her willingness to take my concerns into consideration. My experience has been great so far, the only thing I would say is she sometimes seems rushed and will go through this quickly when time is crunched. I usually am the first appointment of the day but often wait a while initially which is totally fine but I hate for her to start her day already rushed.

No complaints about her care. She considers all angles when diagnosing symptoms. Willing to make referrals, order additional tests if called for, instead of just taking the easy way out and saying "Oh, it's probably just this or that." She really tries to figure it out and think outside the box rather than jumping to conclusions or making assumptions.

I like Dr. Basilico very, very much but Western Medicine and the Federal/State laws only allows so much care for chronic pain. I hate being referred to specialists after specialists to search for the source of the pain and then to a pain specialists who would probably not be able to much so I am forced to look to other sources to help me.

I seemed to have communication problems with Dr. Basilico. At times I felt she didn't believe me. She didn't seem to appreciate the difficulty of my family situation. Also seemed overly focused on prevention.
